How do I use Street Fighter V mods?

Use a mod manager like Fluffy Manager or Pak Mod Manager (PMM).

Which one do you use?

We use Fluffy Manager because it is easy to iterate changes, and because PMM currently doesn't install correctly on our systems (possibly because u4pak is triggering virus warnings).

Can I use your mods with PMM?

We will be offering PAK versions of our mods, but they won't be tested. If they don't work, PMM can import an extracted directory to create a PAK.

Along the top of PMM there are 3 options: "rebuild old", "add paks" and "import mods":
  1. Extract the mod to a directory.
  2. Select "import mods".
  3. Select the extracted mod directory.

Can I use PMM paks in Fluffy Manager?

If you have PMM installed, you can extract a pak to a directory. Add that directory to Fluffy Manager's mod directory.

If you don't have PMM, the best solution we've found so far is to use quickbms with a script written for pak files.

Should I do anything special on patch day?

For Fluffy Manager:
  1. Uninstall all mods
  2. Update Street Fighter V
  3. In Fluffy Manager, select "Re-read game archives"
  4. Re-install mods
We don't have any data on PMM.

This mod I downloaded doesn't work at all.

Many old mods that are designed before version 2.0 will not work because Capcom changed the file naming scheme.
